The Energy Efficiency Hub has been curated by Green Moves Australia, Melbourne’s energy efficiency and sustainability experts. The display showcases the key ingredients to create a comfortable and energy efficient home.

 

Free advice available at our ‘Ask the Expert’ desks. Green Moves are providing 2 energy efficiency experts onsite all weekend to answer questions from visitors on anything from building and renovating a home to installing solar PV and batteries. Come and ask your questions, bring your plans and attend some free seminars. It’s all about getting educated.

Jan Brandjes

Brandjes Environmental

With 35 years experience in energy efficient construction in Canada’s sub arctic and a Dutch background in Journalism, Jan Brandjes combines both skills in educating the industry and homeowners in the art of sustainable building. He presently works as an environmental building consultant, as well as trainer for the Master Builders Association of Victoria (MBAV).

Danielle King

GreenMoves Australia

Our Founder and Director, Ms Danielle King has an MBA, Diploma of Management, Diploma of Sustainability, is a fully qualified Sustainability Assessor (accredited with Building Designers Association of Victoria) and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in Home Sustainability Assessment. Danielle sits on the BDAV Sustainability Advisory Board, works with State Governments, local Council’s and private clients.  She also a Schneider ‘EcoXpert Energy Auditor’ and delivers training to the industry. Danielle has presented many seminars on sustainable building topics and has written numerous journal articles that have been published in a variety of media.

Riccardo Mucci

Ric has over 15 years of Construction experience, he is the managing director of Casafico and translates his passion, dedication and leadership to empower builders and home owners to build greener and smarter. Also Ric is instrumental in the day to day running of the business, product design & development and bring to life our customer's construction projects. In addition, Ric is working closely with Chisholm to build a course in prefabrication building, has presented to Holmesglen building students regarding alternative construction methods and was was of the pioneering of the CSIRO Aspire program.

Michael Burgess

Nick Frcek

"Nick Frcek has spent the majority of his working life in the plumbing and electrical Fields. Nick has over 25 year’s experience with 20 of those years as a Business Owner of a Trade Company, working directly with consumers selling / quoting a range of products. He worked closely with building companies delivering a quality plumbing solution for their new builds and all renovation / extension work. Nick has experience working in sales, technical training, product development and after sales service in both hot water / Photovoltaic Solar Electricity applications. Nick has
recently taken on the role of National Product Training and Development Manager for Apricus Australia. Nick has a vast knowledge in Solar Thermal and it applications both domestically and commercially."

Andrew Foskett

Andrew Foskett is a business leader, mentor, coach & team builder, who prides himself on leading through change in the energy sector. With a strong background in utilising and negotiating with external sales channels to meet business needs, Andrew drives the execution of corporate strategy across a broad national market. In his role at carbonTRACK, an Australian intelligent energy management company, Andrew executes and guides the future envisioned by the founders that technology can solve the inefficiencies in electricity production and distribution globally. After receiving the Silver Award for Energy Efficiency in the 2017 Eco Logic Awards, carbonTRACK continues to contribute to combat climate change and improve energy efficiency through a positive value system. Jack Krisprin

Jack is General Manager of Hanita Pacific, wholly owned subsidiary of Hanita Coatings – a leading window film manufacturer. He has a BSc in Electric Engineering and MBA. Jack joined Hanita Pacific in 2014 as Business Development Manager promoting window film solutions in Australia. His background in engineering has allowed him to work with sustainability engineers to improve energy efficiency of buildings through window film coatings. Jack has previous experience in a variety of industries such as building materials; printing and PCB manufacturing.

John Konstantakopoulos

Efficiency Matrix

Specialising in consulting and marketing, in air quality, utilizing energy efficiency with building air tightness, insulation consistency and effective controlled ventilation. Commercial, industrial and residential. I'm passionate about Air tightness in buildings.

Graeme Ambrose

Ecodecisions

Graeme is a sustainability consultant who specialises in energy efficiency. He consults in energy efficient building design. He teaches renewable energy and sustainability both here and in China. He is one of only three energy auditors accredited by Schneider Electric under their EcoXpert program. He is also one of only two people accredited to teach the H.I.A. Greensmart Professional Building course in Victoria.

Jack Noonan

Sustainability Victoria

Mr Jack Noonan is the Acting Manager of the Climate Change team at Sustainability Victoria, having been at the organisation for the last 18 months. At SV, Jack works on the Victorian Government’s Climate Change program TAKE2 and climate change social research across Victoria. Jack holds Bachelor degrees in Science and Psychology, as well as a Master of Business focused on the commercialisation of science and emerging technology. In 2009, he was a winner of the National Australia Bank Science in Business award. Prior to his time at SV, Jack worked as a Senior Technical Consultant and the National Marketing and Relationship Manager for a building science consultancy. His areas of expertise include sustainability strategy, green buildings, sustainability rating tools, and air quality.  He is a member of the International Society for Indoor Air Quality and the Green Building Council’s Future Green Leaders program, and has regularly contributed to national and international conferences and publications on a range of building, science, and sustainability issues.

Kate Harris

GECA

Kate Harris, CEO of GECA has an extensive background in leadership, capacity building and education aimed at finding sustainable solutions for the future. Is on the Board of Directors of the Living Future Institute of Australia (LIFA), the Centre for Sustainability Leadership (CSL) and on the Advisory Board for Pollinate Energy and the founder of consulting firm, Future Ready. With a Masters in Social Ecology and graduate of the Asialink Leaders Program, Kate also draws on her diverse experience in the performing arts, executive coaching, cultural change and organisational development, helping individuals, organisations and communities to create a better future.

Jeremy Spencer

Jeremy is a Builder and Director at Design & Building company Positive Footprints. Positive Footprints is a multi award winning design and construction company, dedicated to making high performing sustainable homes and renovations easy to achieve and affordable. Jeremy Spencer is a Registered Builder and Energy Rater with a Bachelor of Arts and Teaching degree. He is passionate about spreading the message of environmentally sustainable design, and to help bring about change in the way we build homes. As well as building homes, Jeremy also teaches other builders green construction in the Master Builders Greenliving program.

Sven Maxa

Maxa Design

Sven Maxa established Maxa Design in 2004 and has developed the practice’s reputation for leading-edge sustainable design excellence. The studio specialises in high-level eco and energy efficient homes built to brief and budget with creativity; a practical can-do approach, with singular dedication to creating the best possible outcomes for every client and every project. Sven is actively involved in the building design community as a member of the Committee of Management for the Building Designers Association (BDAV) of Victoria. He regularly presents to professionals and advocates for eco homes design to the broader community. Sven was also a judge in the 2017 BDAV Design Awards. He is an accredited HIA GreenSmart Professional, a Registered Building Practitioner, and a Certified Passive House Designer. 

Richard Martin

AEES

Richard Martin held several leadership positions since taking on his current role as Managing Director for a large renewable power and energy efficiency company. He was Chairman of a government policy group aimed improving federal and state legislative processes for rural and regional Australia. He led a number of profile Overseas Development Assistance programs on behalf of the Australian Government in the law and Justice, health and Agribusiness sectors in the Middle East, Africa, Sri Lanka and the South Pacific. Mr Martin has extensive experience initiating and managing industry-led R&D projects aimed at facilitating networks and new technology investment. He was chosen for the Climate Reality Leadership Training in Florida, USA with Al Gore and has a deep passion for assisting Australian businesses reduce cost and reliance on fossil fuel derived energy.
