Melbourne HIA Home Show Postponed.
The Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced that as from Monday 16 March, events involving 500 people or more are banned as a public health measure.
EEA therefore – acting on this Federal Government directive – is postponing the forthcoming Melbourne HIA Home Show to a later date which is yet to be determined.
We also fully support this proclamation by the Prime Minister as EEA takes seriously the health and safety of our exhibitors, their staff and visitors to the Show.
We look forward to rescheduling this Show and then delivering an even more engaging, exciting and valuable event.
If you have any urgent questions, reach out to us at [email protected] but rest assured the new dates will be advised immediately when they are determined.
We obviously need to wait to hear from the government as to when they will allow us – and all other major events – to be held so we can then reschedule the event.
The Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre has released the following statement:
“Effective immediately, we will temporarily cease operating all events with more than 500 people in attendance at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
This follows direction from the Victorian Government who are enacting a ban on all non-essential and static events of more than 500 people, to help delay the spread of COVID-19.”
